Frequently asked questions
Is it thin or see-through?
It’s a cheesecloth-style gauze, so it’s an open weave by design, and the seller describes it as sheer. It’s 100% polyester, [FILL: GSM from sample] GSM, with [FILL: stitched / overlocked] edges. Gathered and draped, it reads as fuller, richer color; pulled tight, a fair amount of the table shows through. Our dark-table photo shows exactly how it looks.
Do I need to iron it?
No. The crinkle is permanent and it’s the look. Shake it out, lay it down, and scrunch it a little. Ironing or steaming will flatten the crinkle, so please don’t.
Will the color match the photos?
We photograph every color in natural daylight with no filters. Gauze is dyed in batches, so shades can vary slightly from one batch to the next. Under warm indoor bulbs, beige-gold reads warmer and burnt orange reads deeper.
How wide is it? Why 35 inches?
It’s 35 in (90 cm) wide when laid flat, so it’s not a narrow 12-14 in runner. The extra width is what makes gauze look full: scrunch it down the center of the table and it settles to about 10-16 in of visible width, with soft folds and much less table showing through. Or lay it flat across the table for a waterfall look; on a standard 30-in-wide table it covers the top and hangs about 2.5 in over each side.
Which length do I need, and is the overhang included?
There are two sizes: 35 x 71 in (90 x 180 cm) and 35 x 118 in (90 x 300 cm). The stated length is the full runner, end to end, so the overhang is included, not added on top. Measure your table, then: overhang per end = (runner length – table length) / 2. On an 8-ft (96 in) table, 35 x 118 in hangs about 11 in at each end. On a 6-ft (72 in) table, 35 x 71 in stops just short of the edges (no drop), so choose 35 x 118 in for a long drape that puddles about 23 in at each end. 35 x 71 in is best for round, 4-ft or 5-ft tables, or a puddled centerpiece. Gathering uses up a little length, so drops come out slightly shorter when scrunched. [FILL: tassels included or not]
Why does it look sheer when I stretch it?
Stretched flat, any open weave looks thinner, and this gauze is sheer. It’s meant to be gathered: bunching it layers the fabric so much less of the table shows. Weave: [FILL: threads] x [FILL: threads] threads per inch.
Static?
Dry air can make gauze cling. Mist lightly with water, or wipe with a dryer sheet. Air-dry instead of using the dryer.
Will it shrink?
Wash cold and air-dry to keep shrinkage minimal. Polyester barely shrinks, but hot water and high dryer heat can relax the crinkle. Our sample changed by [FILL: measured change after cold wash] after a cold wash.
Is it safe near candles?
Keep open flames in glass holders and away from the fabric. Gauze is lightweight and can catch fire.
When will it arrive? Will it come before Thanksgiving?
It ships from our fulfillment partner’s warehouse. We place your order within 1 business day, and delivery typically takes 8-15 days after that; a small share of orders can take longer during the holiday peak. Order by Tue Nov 3, 2026, 11:59 PM ET for delivery before Thanksgiving (Nov 26). Orders placed after that may arrive after Thanksgiving. See our Shipping Policy.
What if it’s late, damaged or not right?
You get tracking by email. If your order is going to miss the delivery window we gave you, we’ll email you and you can cancel for a full refund. Returns: 30 days from delivery (see our Refund & Return Policy).

How long does shipping take?
Most orders arrive in 8–13 days — about two weeks — since they ship from our overseas fulfillment partner. You’ll get tracking by email once it ships. (Ordering the table runner? See “When will it arrive?” above for its delivery times and Thanksgiving cutoff.)
Will the patches arrive before a holiday or a specific date?
We don’t promise delivery by any holiday or date for the patches. Plan on about two weeks, and order before you run out — 800 patches lasts most people months.
How do I use them?
Wash and dry the area, peel off a patch that covers the spot, and press it on for a few seconds. Leave it on (overnight works well), then peel it off gently and throw it away. Each patch is single-use.
What sizes are included?
Each 800-pc order has assorted sizes, so you can match the patch to the spot: 8 mm, 10 mm and 12 mm.
Can I use them on sensitive skin?
Patch test first: wear one on a small area for a few hours and check for redness or itching. Don’t use them on broken or irritated skin, and stop if irritation happens. They cover and protect blemishes; they aren’t a medical treatment.
