This runner is 35 inches (90 cm) wide, not a skinny strip. That extra fabric is what you scrunch down the center of the table for a soft, full, gathered look, usually 10-16 in of visible width. Or lay it flat and let it fall over the sides. Two exact sizes: 35 x 71 in (90 x 180 cm) or 35 x 118 in (90 x 300 cm).

Made to look full when gathered. Gauze is an open weave by nature and the seller describes this one as sheer, so it’s meant to be gathered and draped, not stretched flat like a placemat. No ironing, ever. The crinkle is permanent and it’s the whole look. Shake it out, lay it down, scrunch it a little, done.
True color. Beige-gold and burnt orange are photographed in natural daylight with no filters. Gauze is dyed in batches, so the shade can vary slightly from one batch to the next, and warm bulbs make both colors read a little deeper.

Care card
Wash cold, by hand or on gentle in a mesh laundry bag. No bleach. Don’t iron or steam (it removes the crinkle). Don’t tumble dry hot. To refresh the crinkle, dampen it, twist it into a rope and let it air-dry. Store rolled or twisted, not folded flat. If it clings, mist lightly with water.

Size guide: measure your table first
Both sizes are 35 in (90 cm) wide. At that width the runner is designed to be gathered and scrunched down the center of the table, usually to 10-16 in of visible width, or laid flat and draped over the sides for a waterfall look.
The stated length is the full runner, end to end, so it includes the overhang. Overhang per end = (runner length – table length) / 2. A 6-12 in drop at each end is the classic look. Gathering uses up a little length, so scrunched drops come out slightly shorter.

Is it thin or see-through?
It’s a cheesecloth-style gauze, so it’s an open weave by design, and the seller describes it as sheer. It’s 100% polyester, [FILL: GSM from sample] GSM, with [FILL: stitched / overlocked] edges. Do I need to iron it?
No. The crinkle is permanent and it’s the look. Shake it out, lay it down, and scrunch it a little. Ironing or steaming will flatten the crinkle, so please don’t.
Will the color match the photos?
We photograph every color in natural daylight with no filters. Gauze is dyed in batches, so shades can vary slightly from one batch to the next. Under warm indoor bulbs, beige-gold reads warmer and burnt orange reads deeper.
How wide is it? Why 35 inches?
It’s 35 in (90 cm) wide when laid flat, so it’s not a narrow 12-14 in runner. The extra width is what makes gauze look full: scrunch it down the center of the table and it settles to about 10-16 in of visible width, with soft folds and much less table showing through. Or lay it flat across the table for a waterfall look; on a standard 30-in-wide table it covers the top and hangs about 2.5 in over each side.
Which length do I need, and is the overhang included?
There are two sizes: 35 x 71 in (90 x 180 cm) and 35 x 118 in (90 x 300 cm). The stated length is the full runner, end to end, so the overhang is included, not added on top. Why does it look sheer when I stretch it?
Stretched flat, any open weave looks thinner, and this gauze is sheer. It’s meant to be gathered: bunching it layers the fabric so much less of the table shows. Weave: [FILL: threads] x [FILL: threads] threads per inch.
Static?
Dry air can make gauze cling. Mist lightly with water, or wipe with a dryer sheet. Air-dry instead of using the dryer.
Will it shrink?
Wash cold and air-dry to keep shrinkage minimal. Polyester barely shrinks, but hot water and high dryer heat can relax the crinkle. Our sample changed by [FILL: measured change after cold wash] after a cold wash.
Is it safe near candles?
Keep open flames in glass holders and away from the fabric. Gauze is lightweight and can catch fire.
